Organize PDF Pages - Reorder, Delete & Rotate Online Free

A PDF organize tool is a single workspace where you reorder pages, remove unwanted sheets, and fix sideways scans without bouncing between three separate utilities. Most real documents need all three operations: a quarterly report might require moving the appendix before the financials, deleting blank separator pages, and rotating one landscape chart. DevOkk's PDF organize pages interface loads your file once, renders every page as a thumbnail with its current position number, and lets you drag cards, tick delete checkboxes, or rotate the selected page 90° clockwise before exporting one clean PDF. Processing uses pdf-lib (dynamic import) for structural edits and PDF.js via loadPdfjs for thumbnails - entirely in your browser with helpers from @/lib/pdf-io.

This page replaces the common workflow of visiting PDF sort for order, PDF delete pages for removal, and PDF rotate for orientation - when you need more than one of those edits on the same file. Separate tools remain useful for single-purpose jobs (for example reversing an entire deck with one click on sort), but organize collapses the iterative loop: upload once, tweak order and rotation visually, mark junk pages, apply, download. Nothing is uploaded to a server; validatePdfUpload enforces the 50 MB cap before work begins.

Reordering changes page sequence only. Deletion removes pages from the output copy while leaving your original file on disk untouched. Rotation updates each page's display angle in quarter-turn increments - the same metadata approach as our dedicated rotate tool. All three transforms compose in one Apply Changes pass: remaining pages export in grid order with accumulated rotations applied through pdf-lib's setRotation. Quality stays lossless because content streams are not re-rasterized. Page count and thumbnails come from PDF.js via loadPdfjs; structural edits use pdf-lib's copyPages and removePage APIs so fonts, vectors, and embedded images survive unchanged.

Most documents take two to five minutes from upload to download. Nothing leaves your browser.

1. Upload your PDF - Drag and drop or choose a file. Validation checks MIME type and size before thumbnails render.
2. Review the thumbnail grid - Every page appears with its position number. Click a card to select it for rotation; drag cards or use arrow buttons to reorder.
3. Mark pages for deletion - Check the Delete box on pages you want removed from the output. Grayscale preview confirms what will drop.
4. Rotate sideways pages - Select a page and click Rotate Selected 90° CW. Repeat until the preview looks upright. A badge shows cumulative degrees.
5. Apply Changes - One click merges order, deletions, and rotations into a new PDF via pdf-lib. Your source upload is never overwritten.
6. Download - Save the organized file with the _devokk.com suffix via downloadFile.

Consider an eight-page vendor packet: cover, blank divider, contract (portrait), site photo (landscape scan rotated 90°), two appendices, another blank page, signature block. Legal wants contract → appendices → signature, no blanks, photo upright.

Steps on this page: upload the eight-page packet, confirm page count in the info panel, drag appendix cards (pages 6–7) before the signature block, check Delete on pages 2 and 7, click page 4 and hit Rotate Selected 90° CW once, then Apply Changes and Download. Output is five pages in review order with the photo upright. If you only needed to delete blanks, you could skip rotation; if only page 4 was sideways, you could skip reordering - organize exists for when you need two or three fixes on the same upload without exporting intermediate files.

Choose the tool that matches the problem. Organize combines sequence, removal, and orientation; dedicated siblings do one job faster when that is all you need.

Use PDF sort when you only need to reverse or custom-order pages with typed indexes. Use PDF delete pages when removal by typed range is faster than clicking checkboxes. Use PDF rotate when orientation is wrong but sequence is already correct. Use organize when two or more of those problems appear on the same file - the iterative loop of upload → sort → download → upload → delete is slower than one thumbnail session.

These are the failures the UI surfaces on purpose, plus jobs this page will not pretend to do.

• Invalid upload. Non-PDF files and files over 50 MB are rejected by validatePdfUpload before thumbnails render.
• Cannot delete every page. At least one page must remain unchecked. If you mark all pages for deletion, Apply Changes is blocked - export would be an empty PDF.
• Encrypted PDFs. pdf-lib cannot load password-locked files without credentials. Decrypt locally first.
• Corrupt or truncated PDFs. If PDF.js cannot render thumbnails or count pages, upload fails early with a readable toast instead of a silent blank grid.
• Not cropping or compressing. Organize changes sequence, page count, and rotation metadata - not margins or image encoding. Use PDF crop & resize or PDF compressor for those jobs.
• Not merging multiple files. This tool edits one uploaded PDF. Combine sources first on PDF merge, then organize the result.
• Memory on huge files. Thumbnail rendering for hundreds of pages near 50 MB may spike RAM. Close other tabs if the browser warns about memory; consider split → organize → merge.
• Incremental rotation is additive. Each 90° click adds to the page's current angle. There is no undo stack after Apply - keep the original file or re-upload.
• Form field appearance. Rotating pages with interactive forms usually works, but exotic XFA forms may look wrong in older viewers. Test in your target reader before distributing.

PDF organize runs entirely client-side. pdf-lib and PDF.js load on demand from the same origin as the app; your document bytes are never POSTed to an API, never written to server logs, and never indexed. That makes the tool suitable for contracts, medical records, and financial statements - subject to your own device security policies. Clear downloads from shared computers when finished.

We do not persist uploads in localStorage. Closing the tab discards in-memory state except any file you explicitly downloaded. No account means no cross-device history. Thumbnail previews are rendered locally in canvas elements and are not transmitted. If you need audit trails, keep versioned filenames on your side (for example binder-v3-organized.pdf).
